DuffyGroup helps Phoenix Non-Profit find CEO/Executive Director for their fast growing business.
Scenario
Recently, a Non-Profit organization lost their Executive Director during a very crucial point in the development of their business. The former Executive Director stayed on the Board but had a professional opportunity she could not pass up. The Non-Profit organization and their former Executive Director, asked DuffyGroup to assist them in finding their new Executive Director.
Strategy
The Duffy research team collaborated with the hiring leaders of the Non-Profit organization and developed milestone achievements expected in the first year in the role for the Executive Director. Together with the client, we created goals for the position at 30-60-90 days, 6 month and one year timeframes. This assisted in prioritizing the skills and talents we were going to target locally.
After familiarizing ourselves with the needs of the role, we developed a search strategy. The plan targeted area Non-Profit businesses, calling their leaders to network regarding the opportunity. We spoke with many Non-Profit leaders locally and gathered information regarding the size and scope of their businesses. We also compared the salary range of the opportunity with the market value of the position. This valuable information was shared with our client.
ROI/Results
Success within one month! We found an Executive Director whose values mirror those of the Non-Profit. Their combined passion for children and health related issues will enable the Non-Profit organization to grow. The scope and size of the position is a perfect match professionally for the incumbent.
Comparison
Through our research services, DuffyGroup placed the candidate in the position for less than 10% of the position’s first year’s annual salary. In comparison, had the Non-Profit organization utilized a contingency or retained search firm, the rate would have been thee to four times the amount.
