Scenario
Our client, a regional airline carrier, was in the midst of a potential takeover. During this crucial time, two key leadership positions opened up – VP of Communications and Director of Customer Care. Due to the level of the positions, and their scenario, they turned to our Duffy research team to help bridge the gap.
Strategy
Over the years, this client has utilized Duffy research services as a cost effective approach to sourcing and recruiting senior level positions. We knew the client and the industry well, so we were able to effectively map out a strategy that would provide results. For the Director of Customer Care, we defined regional and legacy airline carriers that we knew would be viable. For the VP of Communications, we targeted local, large organizations in the area. After our first round of research, we provided data that revealed an adjustment of compensation would be required in order to be successful in achieving results. Working closely with the client and providing exceptional market intelligence, we were able to hone in on our pitching protocols enabling us to move forward effectively with the project.
ROI/Results
Success! For the Director of Customer Care, Duffy delivered a slate of three candidates resulting in a hire. The client also hired their VP of Communications from a slate of six candidates.
Comparison
Overall, for less than half of a retained search fee, our client was successful in hiring two senior level professionals during an uncertain time in their business.
