Our client needed to hire a Vice President of Quality Performance Improvement. We provided the targeted solution at the right cost!
Scenario
Finding a high level quality improvement professional was a challenge for one of our long-time clients. They had tried posting to the Web and resume mining, but they were not finding the expertise they needed for this critical position. The ideal candidate would be a professional with a combination of Six Sigma and Quality Improvement Process experience and ideally a tenured, “passive” candidate – so they asked our Duffy research team for help.
Strategy
Due to the nature of their business, we identified healthcare clients in the metro Phoenix area. Then, based on research we conducted and cold calling into organizations, we cross referenced those target companies with our findings to validate whether or not they had an internal quality program/function. The next challenge would be to find and validate that these companies had a true VP, strategic leader managing what we considered to be a world-class quality function. As we continued to source and call, we worked our network as well, stimulating additional referrals from every call we made.
ROI/Results
Through our diligent research work, we provided a slate of three candidates. The client hired an exceptional diverse candidate who was their “needle in a haystack.”
Comparison
The research investment for this position was less than half what they would have invested in comparison to a retained search.
