Successful Executive Director national search for local Non-Profit Organization.
Scenario
The leading Charitable Tuition Organization in Arizona was looking for a new Executive Director to take their organization to new heights. Our Duffy research team was hired to perform a national search.
Strategy
Our Duffy Project Director collaborated with the Board of Directors and assessed the needs of the organization. After multiple conversations with various board members, we developed a Board-approved position description, job specification and candidate profile.
By familiarizing ourselves with the needs of the role, we developed a recruiting strategy. The Board wanted to reach out to a national audience as well as their local Faith Community Leaders. Our research team targeted local churches, organizations and schools within their Faith Community. Additionally, we posted a recruiting ad in National Non-Profit encyclicals and websites. We networked with most of their Faith Community’s Lay and Religious leaders locally as well.
ROI/Results
We presented a slate of four qualified Non Profit Leaders. DuffyResearch assisted during the interview and evaluation process as needed. The Board of Directors for the Non Profit chose one candidate from the four finalists. DuffyResearch was successful again!
Comparison
Through our research solution, we were successful in placing the candidate in the position for approximately 20% of the position’s first year’s annual salary. In comparison, had the Non-Profit organization utilized a contingency or retained search firm, the rate would have cost at least an additional $10,000. The DuffyGroup research model is certainly a cost effective recruiting tool for the Non-Profit sector.
